In Larry Brooks' article in the New York Post today on the Rangers cap situation he mentions that the Rangers offered D Bobby Sanguinetti to the Coyotes in exchange for center Peter Mueller.
Brooks says that Phoenix general manager Don Maloney, who had a hand in drafting Sanguinetti, rejected the offer and instead countered with a request for either Brandon Dubinsky or Ryan Callahan.
Mueller has 1g and 5a in 26 games in his third NHL season after scoring a combined 35 goals in his first two years.
...Sanguinetti is supposed to be the Rangers #1 defensive prospect and they can't even get a third year player with just one goal on the season in return? Man the Rangers are f'ed.
...it also says a lot when the man who help drafted Sangs wants nothing to do with him.
