Blackhawks 2, Rangers 1, OT

The New York Rangers (14-14-2) lost to the Chicago Blackhawks (19-7-3) by the score of 2-1 in overtime. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

...i have conflicting emotions after the game as I'm pissed they couldn't generate any offense and blew a third period lead, but on the other hand I'm ecstatic they were able to come out of a game they were thoroughly dominated with at least a point.

...and the sole reason for that point was Henrik Lundqvist. Every player on the team should have to apologize to him after the game. Could have been his best game all season.

...man, Byfuglien made Gilroy look like a pilon on the game winner.

...things have gotten so bad for the Rangers offensively Higgins is now the team's hottest goal scorer. Sweet shot though.

...he had a great start to the year, but all the extra ice time is finally catching up with the aging Prospal. Only two goals with a -4 in the last 17 games and his not being able to get a shot off in the slot in OT lead to Chicago's winner.

...only nine minutes for Anisimov. Wasn't this guy centering the top line Sunday night? Now he can't top double digit minutes? C'mon Torts stop messed with the kid's head.

...couple of days off then Sabres in town looking for revenge on Saturday.

Can we start talking about a new head coach?

From night to night I have no idea what lines are going to be rolled out, and then from shift to shift it seems like the line combo's are changed.....What is this guy doing except overplaying our older players and cutting minutes for our young players who have shown they deserve more ice time!!!

In today's artice by Brooks in the NY Post, Torts said he isnt concerned with the lack of goals but is concerned with the effort...
Are you serious, while the effort did suck last night, how about scoring more than 1-2 goals...YOU ARE LOSING BECAUSE YOU CANT SCORE!!!!!

i keep seeing the same game over and over and it's pathetic. 1 goal by the Rangers, Lundqvist stands on his head but it's not enough.
the other team ties or scores a late period goal and we can't recover. we look like we're playing for a tie. NO offense! we had like 18 shots on goal and only a few were real scoring chances vs what 40 for Chicago.

Lundqvist is going to get burnt out playing through the olympics and if we don't generate more scoring for him soon we are not going to make the playoffs.

Fire Torts, bring back Mike Keenan... I hate seeing that the best coach in MSG is in front of a camera giving us his thoughts on the rangers play... Put him behind the bench already
