Yesterday I posted about Alex Ovechkin's loose lips leading up to tonight's Game 1 (see here), which Michael Obernauer at the Daily News reports has continued...
On playing at the Garden, Ovechkin said...
"Sometimes the ice is no good over there because (of) lots of concerts, lots of dog shows, something like that coming over there. It kind of smells no good over there sometimes."
In all fairness to Ovechkin he did say that he liked playing at MSG.
...again this isn't bulletin board material, but why is the best player in the NHL complaining about Lundqvist's equipment and the smell of MSG?
...i hope he keeps it up because it seems like he's more focused on outside factors than the game.

i definitely thought the equipment thing was stupid to say. maybe the smell quip at the end wasnt necessary but the Garden ice is crap...but everybody knows it so why the need to let loose about it now?? It sucks for everybody deal.
