Arthur Staple of Newsday puts together his Top 10 all time Rangers list with Brian Leetch landing at #1...
1. BRIAN LEETCH
Defenseman, 1987-2004
Inducted into Hall of Fame in 2009, Leetch was as unassuming off the ice as he was noticeable on it. The debate may rage as to who belongs in this spot, and though he may not have been the leader of the 1994 team, he was its best player, and he was the team's best player for nearly two decades. Leetch is the greatest American-born defenseman ever and deserving of the title of greatest Ranger ever.
...these lists are always a great way to start an argument, however, despite everything Messier did for the franchise I don't think you can criticize Leetch at #1.

no argument from me, leetch was a quiet leader who was solid as a rock. He could do it all, play physical, pass, or go coast-to-coast and score. You could always count on number 2. God, I would love to have him and Buke back there again.
ratelle and park need to be on that list instead of 2 of the others
