After two and a half years of staring at the same blog design I decided to change things up a bit. Nothing too drastic. Just enough to give it a new feel without a crazy redesign.

old banner was great... I like this new design, easy on the eyes, nice and blue lol... but I agree with the guy above me, it's meh!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the banner is kind of cheap looking. Maybe this is a case if it isn't broke? Either way, keep up the great work.

ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, the design looks great - but I agree with the banner comments. A contest to design a new one would be a great idea IMO.
banner could be a lil less plain..just my two cents...still love your site and will continue to use it daily no matter what the banner...just sayin

Honestly, not a big fan of the redesign. It looks kinda 1990's AOL to me. A better banner would surely help, but overall I don't think it's a vast improvement over the generic blogspot layout from before.
ReplyDeleteNew design is good... gonna take some getting used to, but the banner is way too bland. With the massive sea of blue, its almost too 'bright'... cant really think of a better descriptor.

ReplyDeleteKevin, It was a good try but the previous design hands down was better. The old design looked more professional than the new. The new banner is terrible and is hard to look at. Please change back maybe with a new banner even though I really liked the old banner too.

The blue color is, I think the issue here. It stands out too much. Perhaps swap colors with the blog dates and the blog titles?
That just tripped me out dude, I need some kinda warning for stuff like that.

I like the old design better. Make the contest for the whole design layout not just the banner.
