Final Draft Party Meetup Reminder

Just a final reminder before I head out to the Rangers Draft Party we will be meeting at The Hill restaurant, Third Ave. between 29th and 30th Streets at 6:45 p.m. by the back staircase.

I will not be live blogging or tweeting from the party, I'm just going to have a couple (or more) beers and hang with the greatest fans in all of hockey.

I will be taking some pics and should have them up by Monday. Here's hoping Sather doesn't somehow screw this up.

Hope to see everyone there.

Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at nyrfan94@yahoo.com.

  2. I think I would have gone with Cam Fowler, I did not see him dropping this far.

  3. Fans should be psyched! think of the conference they play in. this is a man that will punish the crosbys and ovechkins and the malkins and the stupid tavares' of the world. they are building a solid D corps. Pierre Mcquires' an idiot

  4. OH MY GOD! WHAT RANGERS DO? WHY DID NOT PICK FOWLER? i'm so sad with that.

  5. stop. STOP with the fowler nonsense. there is no Leetch in this draft. Just cause twinks won a cup this year doesnt mean thats the way to go. Duncan Keith went 50something. STop!

  6. If they couldn't get El NiƱo (f***ing Fishsticks!), then a strong, crease-clearing D is a good pick. 6-4 212lbs and barely 18?! He's a monster--and he's our monster. Finally!

I can't wait to see him make Cindy bleed... Is that wrong?

  7. Ok... but why a soldier? could be a guy with habilities to score...

  8. this obviously means that the top brass thinks very highly of Stepan & Kreider. Two years from now we could have: Staal & McDonagh
    Del Zotto & Girardi
    Mcilrath &Gilroy/Sanguinetti/Redden. Pretty sweet!

  9. Thats more like it people! oh, and cindy will bleed. he is a monster. when was the last time the rangers had a monster?

  10. I liked, the fact that he's a monster! Could a partner to Avery, for fights...

  12. When he kicks the crap out of a Carcillo or stomps the butt out of a Byfuglien in three years. It will be nice to smile again.

  13. ummmm

shouldnt we be worring about scoring goals, not fighting?

we just threw away one of the top three heavyweights in the league and now we burn a #10 pick on a fighter?

  15. Wow, your organization is a joke. You have the opportunity to pick Fowler, and you pick Dylan McIlrath? Cam Fowler has drawn comparisons to Scott Niedermayer!!! Isles did so much better than you guys, lol. What a joke.

  16. considering the isles recent draft history, I'd pipe down, Mrs. DiPietro. The JV squad has been crap for so long, and STILL cant rebuild itself through the draft...and ur going to come on a Rangers blog and talk smack? Go build a lighthouse somewhere fishstick boy. what a knob.

  17. The Rangers would've done well with Fowler. What a shame. McIlrath figures to be a solid defensive defensemen, but this was a no-brainer. A very poor choice that will haunt this organization for a long, long time.

  18. McIlrath is at least three or four years away from making the NHL, don't get excited so quickly. D-men like him take a long time to properly develop.

  19. Felt like I was watching Dumb and Dumber when the Rangers announced that pick. McIlrath over Fowler? Are you serious? Possibly the worst pick in history.

  20. ew get off this blog you islander fan, get a life and have fun losing every year. arent you guys moving to kansas anyways?!?! get lost.

  21. Good luck trying to find a home to actually skate in and fans to validate your teams existence. The pick for Mc is a solid pick. Finally a Dman who isn't afraid to play to his size. The character that seperates him from players like Fowler and Gormley. When Niederreiter or Tavares skate, one would hope that keep their heads up.
