Final Trades of the Day

TSN reports...

The Detroit Red Wings added a healthy body to their blue line Tuesday, acquiring Brad Stuart from the Los Angeles Kings for a pair of draft picks.

The Anaheim Ducks added some blueline depth on Tuesday, acquiring Marc-Andre Bergeron from the New York Islanders for a third round draft pick.

The Minnesota Wild added lots of toughness on Tuesday, acquiring Chris Simon from the New York Islanders for a sixth-round draft pick.

The Nashville Predators got into the action at the NHL trade deadline Tuesday, acquiring forward Jan Hlavac from the Tampa Bay Lightning for a seventh-round draft pick.

...what's up with the Wild taking in the Islanders problems. In the off-season they brought in former Islander defenseman and steriod user Sean Hill and now they trade for Simon.

...very surprised that Jokinen wasn't traded today.
