I was against the rumored Souray/Redden trade b/c the are both overpaid for what they contribute, but if he's getting a $5.4 Mil salary with $2.7 Mil expectations, the pressure will be off and he might do okay. I wouldn't complain about a $2.7 Mil defenseman who could put up 40-50 points in 80 games. The biggest risk, I think, is that the chance of him playing 80 games is pretty slim. In fact, the chance of 50 games is probably slim. The youtes could play in the 30-or-so games while SS is on the IR.-DOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18260647227129262736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4526234141396194760.post-50755242239325752452010-10-01T12:20:24.324-04:002010-10-01T12:20:24.324-04:00He seems like a locker room cancer to me. He cares more about the money than winning." So I'd have to say if a former teammate is calling him out, then no for the Rangers.Johnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4526234141396194760.post-40175123286379534912010-10-01T10:55:42.972-04:002010-10-01T10:55:42.972-04:00I havent seen him play really, but based on tradin...I havent seen him play really, but based on trading him for Redden in NHL 10 I really liked him. He had a crazy hitting stat too. Is he physical in real life? That's one advantage over Redden. Another is that he's actually scored 20+ goals more than once. Some of our key forwards can't say that. I'd be okay with half-price. NYR can't afford him at full price.-DOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18260647227129262736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4526234141396194760.post-4885762533875546212010-10-01T10:46:42.541-04:002010-10-01T10:46:42.541-04:00Even at 2.7m I'd still be wary...
